No, there weren't mirrors on the ceiling, it wasn't that kind of motel.

It was just the walls that were plastered in mirrors. They're probably for the same thing as a ceiling mirror but that wasn't the action I was getting in Vegas so I didn't care.

My buddy Kid (long story behind the nickname, don't ask) and I shared a room. Perfect odd couple. I'm so tiny that I'm transparent in direct sunlight while his muscular-frame made the bed moan more than the newlyweds next door.

Two guys who grew up together, went to the same schools, ate at the same crappy restaurants, skipped the same classes and (barely) graduated at the same time. Our jobs haven't been much different, our lifestyles are pretty much the same and neither one of us can pick a winning roulette number if our lives depend on it.

But I'm a toothpick and he's a solid oak.

The real difference is that the same stuck-up girls who blew me off like a bad habit fell at his feet and worshipped him. I love my friend to death but he can be annoying as hell…
